Join Bruce for an interactive, live virtual hoppy hour where you will learn about beer, history, and Chicago!

  • Learn about the basics of beer, including different beer styles, what drives flavor in beer, and how to judge beer.
  • Discover Chicago history, particularly related to beer, brewing, and sin.
  • Classes are led by Bruce White, Founder of Chicago Beer Experience. Leverage his beer knowledge obtained while leading thousands on tours.
  • Each class is LIVE so Bruce can answer your questions in realtime and will interact with the group. Includes a quiz/interactive elements.
  • Prior to your tasting, although beer is not included, you will be provided guidelines to select 4 beer tastings.
  • We've now had now over 100 participants from all over the world, including all major regions of the U.S., the U.K., and Vietnam!

Virtual Hoppy Hour Beer Tasting 2020

On our virtual happy hour:

  • The class length is 1.5 hours.
  • You will be provided a private Zoom room where you will join Bruce for the tasting.
  • Beer is not included; however, prior to the virtual hoppy hour, guidance on styles will be provided so you can purchase within the same or similar style and follow along. Chicago-specific beers are provided where applicable, but geography is not important, and people have participated from across the world.
  • Advance purchase required; please purchase at least 3 hours prior to scheduled class.
  • There is a 12 screen limit for public tours. Private tours are more flexible with less cap. To inquire on a private tour, email info@chicagobeerexperience.com

This is the most fun I've had in quarantine, and the "tour" was a great way to meet up with old friends and learn more about beer. Bruce provides a wealth of funny and fascinating information about Chicago and the beer scene...this was a delightful way to spend an evening!
